Ways We Can Work Together

Whether you’re designing an evaluation, reviewing existing work, building staff capacity, or need an external evaluator, I offer practical support that fits your program and resources.

Practical AmeriCorps Evaluation Services That Fit Your Program’s Needs

I provide AmeriCorps evaluation services for programs and state service commissions that need clear, realistic evaluation support—whether you need a plan, feedback, training, or an external evaluator.

Evaluation Design, Planning & Methdology

For programs that need a clear, realistic evaluation approach.

If you’re starting from scratch—or trying to make sense of requirements—I help you design an evaluation plan that is feasible, compliant, and useful for learning and improvement.

Evaluation Plan & Report Reviews

For programs that already have plans or reports and want expert feedback.

I review evaluation plans, logic models, data collection tools, and evaluation reports and provide clear, actionable feedback—so you can move forward with confidence.

Program Training & Capacity Building

For commissions that want to build evaluation skills without overwhelm.

I provide tailored training and technical assistance to meet the needs of your portfolio in person or remotely—focused on clarity and taking action, not just theory and compliance.

External AmeriCorps Evaluation Services

In addition to training and technical assistance, I also serve as an external evaluator for AmeriCorps programs and portfolios. I design and conduct process, outcome, and impact evaluations that meet requirements and provide insightful results and recommendations.

Who I Work With

I work at both the program and portfolio level—supporting the people closest to the work and those responsible for oversight.

AmeriCorps Programs

  • Program directors and managers
  • Data and evaluation staff
  • Programs navigating recompetes or redesigns

State Service Commissions

  • Portfolio-wide training and support
  • Evaluation guidance for subgrantees
  • Doable high quality evaluation approaches for programs

Why Programs Choose to Work With Me

With 30 years of experience supporting AmeriCorps programs nationwide, I understand what evaluation looks like in the real world—limited time, limited staff, and increasing expectations. My work focuses on clarity, usefulness, and helping programs learn and improve without unnecessary complexity.

  • Deep AmeriCorps State and National knowledge
  • Plain-language guidance
  • Respect for program capacity
  • Focus on learning, not just compliance

What You Might Be Wondering

Absolutely.
My training is designed for real-world program staff—not evaluation specialists—and focuses on building confidence, consistency, and practical skills.

Many commission portfolios have program staff that are beginners and others with extensive research background. Content and exercises are structured to meet staff where they are so everyone learns and moves forward.

That’s very common.
You don’t need to have it figured out before reaching out. We can talk through your situation and identify what makes the most sense given your program’s level of funding and needs—and whether I’m the right person to help.

Both.
Some programs need targeted feedback ASAP or a short-term engagement. Others benefit from ongoing support. We’ll decide together what fits your needs and resources.

Yes.
I work with AmeriCorps State and National programs and state service commissions across the U.S., both virtually and (when appropriate) in person.

Let’s Talk About What Makes Sense

If you’re unsure what type of support you need—or just want to talk it through—I’m happy to have a conversation and see what fits.
